| Our History |
| William
Maberly Llewellin, Chartered Engineer, Patent Agent and Inventor, began
the business which bears his name in 1883. His innovative skills were responsible
for the design and manufacture of various Time Recorders.
From the early business of making Clocks and Time Recorders, gear manufacture commenced. The company developed its ability to manufacture gears of various types, some of which were produced on company designed gear cutting machines. The Business still occupies the original site in King Square but has expanded its productive floor area to more than 30,000 square feet on other sides of the square. We believe the Company, which has been under its own independent management since its formation, is unique. Pride is taken in the quality and service offered. "Llewellin’s" name is synonymous with gears and gear related products. |
