William Maberly Llewellin, Chartered Engineer, Patent Agent and Inventor, founded the business which bears his name in 1883. His innovative skills were responsible for the design and manufacture of various Clocks and Time Recorders.
From the early business of making Clocks and Time Recorders, gear manufacture commenced. The company developed its ability to manufacture gears of various types, some of which were produced on company designed gear cutting machines.
The registered office still occupies the original site in King Square, but has expanded its production floor area to more than 4,000 sq.m. on three sides of the Georgian square.
We believe the Company, which has been under its own independent management since its formation, is unique. Pride is always taken in the quality of work and services offered.
Today the "Llewellin's" name is synonymous with gears, gearboxes, transmissions and related products as well as excellent service.
