Gearbox Refurbishment
Llewellin's Gears offer a rapid service for the rebuilding of all types of gearboxes: Spur, Helical, Worm, Bevel, etc., from instrument size up to 5,000kg.
In the event of a breakdown or planned maintenance work our gearbox rebuilding service offers a prompt and efficient service. We can even offer a 24 hour emergency call-out service!
Our gearbox capabilities, backed up with almost a century of gear and transmission experience as well as our extensive manufacturing facility, will give you the peace of mind that comes from knowing that your gearbox or transmission system is in the hands of true professionals.
Gearbox Redesign
In addition to our gearbox refurbishment service, Llewellin's Gears can also offer the option of redesigning of gearboxes. Whether the purpose is to increase load capacities, to vary ratios or to reduce backlash, our extensive gearing and materials expertise (including the use of Stainless, Carbon and Alloy steel (including heat treatment), together with Plastics and Bronzes) allows us to advise you on the best redesign option.
To complement our rapid service, we can supply a large number of Stock Gears, Splines and Couplings in a range of different materials.
To complete our gearbox service, we can also offer:
• Component build-up by Spiral Welding , both internal
• and external, with varying deposit hardnesses.
• MIG, TIG, Gas and Arc welding.
• Glass bead blasting.
Stock
Our mission is to meet our customers’ requirements quickly. To help us achieve this aim we hold approximately 100 tonnes of certified raw stock.
Also, a wide range of gears are held in stock, together with spline shafts, new & used gearboxes and electric motors.
